No more glistering, sparkling eyes
Just a normal set of life's windows
Pink and white swirls of hair bounder
Weaving an intricate design

A simple yet different girl
whom I denied to fall first
A golden pendant of a cross
Hangs perilously round her neck

Nothing really makes her stand out
But maybe that very feature
of not standing out
On a day unlike any days

She begins to walk in my life
And I can't concentrate again
Yet I know there is nothing gained
I'm a sured loser in most strife
For I'm the foolish pilgrim of love
